SEO Law Fellowship Overview
SEO: Connecting Talent with Opportunity for More Than 60 Years
Driven by the belief in the transformative power of education, Michael Osheowitz founded SEO in 1963 during the Civil Rights Movement. Today, SEO closes educational and career opportunity gaps for 7,000 ambitious young people each year.
SEO Law Fellows hail from 21 states and 41 schools across the country and represent the best and brightest students interested in pursuing a legal education and career. Our Fellows demonstrate the passion, drive, determination, and achievements needed to have a successful legal career, and our alumni have gone on to have incredible careers and make a significant impact in the field.
All are welcome to apply to SEO Law and all SEO programs.
About SEO Law
Launched in 1986, SEO Law helps aspiring law students thrive in law school and excel in their legal careers through training, career development, and internships, all before starting law school.
SEO Law has two program initiatives:
- SEO Law Fellowship—A competitive, 12-month program that helps incoming law students gain legal skills and work experience needed to be successful in law school and the legal profession.
- SEO Law Catalyst—A 9-month program that supports aspiring law students through the law school application process, including structured application planning and review, LSAT preparation, and mentorship from practicing attorneys.
About the SEO Law Fellowship
Through the SEO Law Fellowship, Fellows gain early exposure to the legal profession through:
- SEO Law Institute—A two-week, intensive training program providing academic and professional development training in legal analysis, legal research and writing, and law school study skills and exam strategy.
- Firm internship—An 8-week summer internship at one of the industry-leading partner law firms who work with SEO because they are invested in building a future pipeline of talent.
- 1L academic support—During their first year of law school (1L), Fellows work with top legal tutors and professors to review notes, case briefs, outlines, and practice exam materials.
