Federico Schiffrin

Federico Schiffrin is a Partner and Co-Head of GP Solutions. Previously, Federico was a Managing Director at BDT&MSD Partners, where he focused on driving the growth of both the GP-focused credit product line and the private equity business.

Prior to BDT&MSD Partners, Federico was a Partner and member of the Direct Investment Committee at Unigestion Ltd., an alternative asset manager, where he led the direct and fund investment businesses in the U.S. Earlier in his career, he held a number of direct investing and board-level roles at Three Cities Research, Inc., a middle market private equity fund based in New York.

Federico graduated from Universidad de Buenos Aires, with an MS in Accounting and earned an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business.

Outside of work, Federico is a visiting professor at Universidad de San Andres and is involved in a number of philanthropic activities focused on education and health care. He is an avid kitesurfer, tennis and soccer player, and enjoys traveling the world in pursuit of the best wind.

Judy Chou

Judy Chou joined the Cooper Family Office as a senior investment advisor with extensive credit experience including roles in investment management, buy-side business development, and mergers & acquisitions.  Ms Chou graduated from the Walter A Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor of Sciences.  She also holds the Chartered Alternative Investments Analyst (CAIA) designation.

Judy started her career as a mergers & acquisitions investment banker covering private equity firms at JPMorgan Chase, where she received her credit training.  Subsequently, Ms Chou was a Senior Credit Analyst at Callidus Capital, a CLO asset manager, where she managed a portfolio of leveraged loans and high yield bonds. Consequently, she was an advisor to True Course Capital, a private credit boutique.  Judy was then a product specialist on the marketing team at CIFC Asset Management, an alternative credit-manager.  Immediately prior to joining the Coopers Family Office, Judy was a Sales Director and Senior Relationship Manager at CreditSights/Covenant Review, a FitchSolutions Company, establishing and maintaining relationships with a broad array of investor clients in the leveraged finance space.

Judy is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and is an avid golfer and tennis player.

Peter Lupoff

Peter is a Partner of Beatrice Advisors, bringing over thirty years of sophisticated investment experience across all asset classes. As a strategic member of the Executive Management Team and Investment Committee, he collaborates with founder Christina Lewis to define organizational objectives and works closely with Meredith Bowen, President & CIO, on investments and operational strategies.  Peter’s role extends to augmenting business development and overseeing client engagement in aligning values with market return.

Prior to Beatrice, Peter launched and managed Lupoff/Stevens Family Office, his family’s vehicle for investment, impact, and grant-making, which was subsequently folded into Beatrice. He has an extensive academic career, teaching hedge fund strategies and impact investing at Yale School of Management, impact investing at Fordham University (where he remains a Gabelli Fellow), and presently teaching impact investing at University of California Haas School of Business.

Peter spent much of his investment career with legendary investors, as a partner of Marty Whitman, at Third Avenue Funds and as a portfolio manager for Izzy Englander’s Millennium Management. In 2009, he launched Tiburon Capital Management, operating as its CEO, CIO and PM until acquired by a pension consultant, taking the role then, of Chief Investment Officer of the $12 bn acquiror.

As a member of the Impact Investing & Sustainability Faculty Consortium, Peter has dedicated significant time to responsible business practices. His commitment to social impact led him to serve as CEO of Net Impact for three years, a non-profit organization mission-driven to inspire and equip emerging leaders to create a more just and sustainable planet. In recognition of his contributions, the Sorenson Impact Institute nominated and selected him as a Sorenson Global Impact Leader in 2023.

Peter lives in Brooklyn with his wife and awful cats, and his son, a frequent visitor from college.
