Our Programs
Since 1963, SEO has made a lifetime of achievement possible for more than 21,000 talented young people from underserved and underrepresented communities.

SEO Scholars
is a free, eight-year, academic program that gets low-income public high school students to and through college–with a 90% college graduation rate. 100% of SEO Scholars are accepted to four-year colleges, with 85% being first-generation college graduates. More than 75% of current SEO Scholars are attending colleges and universities in a top-100 U.S. News & World reporting.

SEO Career
is the nation’s premier professional development program, providing Black, Latinx, and Native American undergrads with everything they need to land an internship: industry exposure, career guidance, interview skills, and intensive training. Approximately 80% of SEO Career Interns receive full-time job offers from SEO Career partners before they graduate college.

SEO Tech Developer
a new initiative of SEO Career, is an intensive, free immersion program designed to propel Black, Latinx, and Native American Computer Science and Engineering college sophomores to the next level of technical and problem-solving skills. Launched with the guidance of tech industry leaders, this program closes the preparation gap for students of color through knowledge, training, and experience – with an emphasis on the application of programming tools in addressing real-world problems.

SEO Alternative Investments
The SEO Alternative Investments Fellowship Program (AIFP) educates, mentors, and provides access to first and second-year investment banking analysts traditionally underrepresented in the alternatives industry. In addition to the AIFP, SEO Alternative Investments also hosts the annual Alternative Investments Conference (AICON), which provides a day of educational panels and networking, increasing access and career development opportunities for professionals in the sector.

SEO Law
is the only program of its kind, offering talented, incoming, underrepresented law school students the opportunity to receive a paid internship at a top law firm the summer before law school. The SEO Law Fellowship program has an impressive network of more than 1,700+ SEO Law alumni, who have gone on to work as Chief Legal Officers, U.S. District Attorneys, Deputy/Assistant Attorneys General, U.S. District Court Judges, and U.S. Cabinet/Congress Members.

SEO Leadership Institute
The SEO Leadership Institute supports SEO alumni in their career development and in increasing their societal impact as part of SEO’s mission of creating a more equitable society. Our Leadership Institute provides the opportunity to connect, ask advice, mentor and be mentored, as well as access a host of professional resources through SEO partners. The SEO Leadership Institute is a forum for SEO alumni to gather their collective wisdom, experience, and influence to address the problems that inordinately affect Black, Latinx, and communities of color.
