SEO-U:Freshmen & Sophomore Training

SEO-U is a summer pipeline program for first-year and second-year undergraduate students who are interested in learning more about the financial services industry and corporate America.

If you are a sophomore, you can apply DIRECTLY to one of the following internship program areas:

Investment Banking
Sales & Trading
Asset Management
Information Technology

If you are a sophomore interested in a program area other than the ones listed above, you can apply to SEO-U.

SEO-U students have access to an online community which gives them a virtual experience similar to that of SEO Career Program interns.

  • As a SEO-U participant, you will receive unparalleled access to SEO's top online training programs including ZooLogic and Stock-Trak. Additionally, to further enhance your finance and markets knowledge, SEO is offering you FREE online access to the Vault Career Guides.
  • Through online webinars (web-conferencing), SEO will also provide participants industry overviews as well as crucial application and resume tips. This access will help prepare you to interview successfully for positions in the finance industry.
  • Finally, participants will be invited to attend a 'SEO-U Day' during the summer (attendance is optional), where participants in SEO-U will receive practical training and will be able to interact with SEO alums currently on Wall Street.

Participating in SEO-U does NOT guarantee you an internship for the following year.  However, it will provide you with the advanced tools necessary to strengthen your candidacy when reapplying to a future SEO Class.

If you are eligible to apply to the internship area of your choice as a sophomore, we encourage you to do so. If you are a sophomore and not eligible to apply to the internship area of your choice until junior year, we encourage you to apply to SEO-U.

Please note that the Career Program will be spending the majority of the Fall 2009 recruiting SEO Career Program Intern candidates. Review of SEO-U virtual pipeline program candidates will begin in January 2010. Please note the SEO-U application timeline below.
